Melissa specializes in working with trauma survivors, individuals facing marital and parenting challenges, and teens navigating emotional or situational struggles. With a compassionate, client-centered approach, she integrates life coaching and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help clients heal from the past, thrive in the present, and build hope for the future.
Melissa is especially passionate about supporting caregivers and individuals navigating medical trauma. As the wife of a paraplegic for over 22 years, she brings personal insight into the ongoing realities of
trauma—and the deep resilience it can inspire. Her own journey through marriage, caregiving, parenting, and life’s complex seasons is enriched by a graduate degree in psychology, allowing her to guide others with both empathy and professional expertise.
Melissa understands that taking the first step toward counseling can feel overwhelming. But she also believes it’s one of the most courageous choices a person can make—toward healing, growth, and renewed
strength. Whether you’re seeking support, clarity, or transformation, Melissa is here to walk with you.
Melissa completed her Master of Arts in Psychology from Houston Christian University and her BA in Business Administration from Baylor. She is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.
Melissa is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, practicing under the supervision of Charissa Lopez, LPC-S.
